Cooper Flagg’s rookie season is done. The Dallas Mavericks won’t be seeing the play-in or the playoffs, but Flagg still had a hell of a year, establishing himself as the number one in Dallas amidst Kyrie’s absence and Anthony Davis’ departure. He’ll be back next year with a point guard, more experience under his belt, a look towards the post-season, and plenty of new PEs from New Balance.
In addition to his on-court PEs, New Balance tapped Flagg to debut a brand-new lifestyle silhouette before the season ended, sending Coop through the tunnel with the debut pair of the New Balance 950. Paired with a green and purple matching track suit, Coop stepped into the stadium last night looking like a bookie ready to collect his Rookie of the Year bets.
The New Balance 950 debuted in a triple-white upper covered in premium pebbled leather with a creamy off-white sole underfoot. The low-profile lifestyle silhouette takes after New Balance’s Numeric skate shoe line, adding a classic mix of cupsole paneling with toe and heel panels that wrap slightly onto the side panels and a puffy “N” on the side panel.
So far, the New Balance 950 doesn’t have a release date or retail price, but with the Flagg debut drawing attention, expect to hear more details about the upcoming silhouette soon. To keep up with all the latest New Balance news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
