The Three Stripes is starting the new year off strong, with a focus on soccer thanks to the upcoming World Cup that’s set to take over Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Beyond the sneakers made to match national jerseys and streetwear soccer collabs with BAPE, adidas is adding a little rhythm to the catalog with an expansive Bob Marley collab collection paying tribute to the reggae superstar’s love for The Beautiful Game.

Following pairs of Rastafarian flag-inspired pairs of the Evo SL, Gazelle Indoor, and SL 72, the latest pair designed in collaboration with Bob Marley’s estate is a black suede Handball Spezial with green, yellow, and red stripes on the side panels to add more flag colors to the collection. The laces and heel tab are both red to complete the look.

The pair features Bob Marley iconography on the insoles with his quote, “Football is Freedom,” next to a graphic of his face. On the heel tab, a Jamaican Football Federation logo and flag are added to represent Marley’s home country and love for all things soccer.

The Bob Marley x adidas Handball Spezial doesn’t have a release date or retail price confirmed yet, but with the rest of the Bob Marley adidas collection dropping in February, we’re guessing this pair will show up on shelves next month, too.
