New Balance hasn’t been as flashy as adidas or Nike in its World Cup-themed product runs, but don’t forget about them, either. The Boston-based brand followed up its Grey Days celebration with a collection of soccer-themed drops with Stone Island, including two pairs of cleats and two more pairs of 1890s. Now, with the tournament getting started soon, NB is back with two more soccer-inspired pairs, this time in collaboration with Basketcase.
Basket, Balance, and Ball
The Basketcase x New Balance Gator Run collection debuted last night with the help of some Pelle Cass photographs showing off a soccer ball and two pairs of Gator Run collabs. Now, with the pack set to debut this week, New Balance is giving us a complete look at both pairs.
The Basketcase x New Balance Gator Run arrives in a Hackey colorway and a Maiden mix. The first features a Brazil-friendly mix of green and yellow, with two-tone laces and a tan gum sole. On the second colorway, a maroon suede matches with baby blue leather and a darker brown sole. Both pairs feature Basketcase branding on the heel and pin accessories stuck on the side panel.
