Basketcase is Dropping its New Balance 204L Collab at a Post Office Parking Lot

Southern California fashion brand Basketcase is finally dropping its New Balance 204L Pine Valley collaboration, but the release won’t be restricted to the brand’s retail store. Bringing a new concept to the limited release game, Basketcase is giving locals in Pine Valley, CA an opportunity to get the shoe first, with a parking lot release that, as far as we can tell, will take place on a blacktop adjacent to the small town’s post office.
We first saw the brown suede Basketcase x New Balance 204L colorway over the summer as a follow-up to the clothing company’s friends & family grey version from earlier in the year. Covered in dark brown suede with a green “N” logo and hiking lace loops, the shoe is a classic beef & broccoli blend with a pop of brightness added with a pair of fuzzy blue laces.
In a new Instagram post, Basketcase finally let us all in on the release schedule for the shoe, adding, “First chance to get a pair is back home. Meet us in the parking lot.” With three release dates and locations added to the post, the first brings the name of the shoe to life, debuting the colorway where the brand began in rural San Diego County. With just an address, Google Maps tells us the drop is happening outside the Pine Valley post office, but we’re not locals, so the parking lot may be next door.
If you can’t make it out to Pine Valley, the shoe is also dropping over the weekend in LA and NYC. The Basketcase x New Balance 204L Pine Valley will be released in a Pine Valley, CA parking lot at 28858 Old Hwy 80, Pine Valley, CA on December 10, 2025 from 12-6 PM.
This will be followed by an LA-area release at the Basketcase Gallery retail store, HENCH, in Costa Mesa, CA December 12-14, and finally, a concurrent release at Dover Street Market New York City on December 13, 2025.
