Bam Adebayo Scores 83 Points and Breaks Kobe Bryant’s Single-Game Scoring Record in the Air Jordan 4028

What a performance. Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo channeled his inner Kobe Bryant tonight, dropping a staggering 83 points and passing Bryant on the NBA’s single-game scoring list. Helping him achieve this monster stat and cement his place in the history books was a pair of Air Jordan 4028s.

Jordan Brand introduced the 40th version of Michael Jordan’s signature sneaker in 2025, but the hybrid versions of the sneaker, like the 4028 that Bam wore against the Washington Wizards, have become major hits. This specific mash-up takes the tooling of the Air Jordan 40 and adds an Air Jordan 28-inspired upper. Like the 28th model in MJ’s line, the 4028 can be zipped down to reveal a stylized “23” logo.

In Wilt Chamberlain’s highly revered 100-point game, which, according to some internet conspiracy theorists, didn’t take place as there’s no footage of the event, he wore a pair of Chuck Taylors. For Kobe, who now sits 3rd on the single-game scoring list, his sneakers of choice were his first signature sneaker, the Nike Kobe 1, in a white and purple mixture that is now rightfully dubbed the “81 Point” colorway.

Luckily for fans of Bam Adebayo, the Air Jordan 4028 in the same Black Barely Volt colorway he wore during his 83-point game will be released to the public for $205. Some EU retailers have already released the pair, but it’s expected to have a wider release during the Summer 2026 season (April-June).
