Asics and atmos Head to Indonesia for a New Gel-Kayano 12.1 Collab

Asics has been crushing it for the past few years, and part of that success has been a lot of shop-exclusive colorways and collabs, including a serious run with Japanese countrymates atmos. For their latest partnership, though, the two are heading due south, connecting in Indonesia for a new Gel-Kayano 12.1 collab.

Japan to Jakarta

Like most atmos collab previews, the atmos Indonesia x Asics Gel-Kayano 12.1 was shown on Instagram by atmos designer Koji. While the post was taken down shortly after, the Asics community moves fast, and screenshots of the pair continue to linger online.

On the Indonesia colorway, the atmos team starts with a clean off-white mix of soft bubbled mesh fabric and tonal synthetics, adding accent shades of tan throughout before switching to two-tone green on the midsole, heel, and tongue tag. A light jelly green on the Gel midsole mixes with a dark matcha color above it, with more matcha green on the tongue and heel.
