Crocs (and virtually all clogs) were scoffed at for basically 20 years. Then, the COVID-19 pandemic happened. A shift in what consumers and fashion prioritized took place during the early 2020s, and the likes of the Yeezy Slide and Yeezy Foam RNNR helped popularize the foam-based slip-on trend. It’s quieted down in favor of more traditional footwear, like the sneaker loafer or mesh runners from the Y2K era, but they still play a vital role in the release calendar of every brand. For The Three Stripes, they’ve been trying to recapture the hype from the Foam RNNR with multiple designs, and maybe they’ll pull it off with the Pure Chill in 2026.
The adidas Pure Chill is quite similar in shape to the Yeezy Foam RNNR, with the molded foam clog featuring a single-piece upper. Three Stripes branding is plastered on the lateral midfoot like the 3D-printed Climacool clog, while the medial side opts for ventilation holes to add breathability. According to adidas, the model uses CLIMACOOL tech for “360 degree ventilation underfoot,” but these early renderings don’t show much of an opening on the outsole. Finishing the design is the cushioned EVA foam midsole and a two-piece rubber outsole.

As mentioned above, adidas has attempted to catch that lightning-in-a-bottle magic the Foam RNNR had with multiple silhouettes. Most recently, the brand introduced a fully 3D-printed sneaker, the CLIMACOOL, which did garner a bit of hype from sneakerheads. It sold out quickly when it first dropped, but it’s readily available with almost all sizes available as of this writing.
The adidas Pure Chill is expected to debut Fall/Winter 2026 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $75.
