PublishedQuick Facts

The adidas AE 2 popped onto the sneaker scene last year with big shoes to fill, following up on the beloved adidas AE 1. The updated look for Anthony Edwards’ second signature shoe may not be as popular as the OG, but it’s still a solid on-court performer. Now, after getting some leaked previews and color mock-ups of the AE 2 collection last year, adidas is finally bringing out official photos of some long-awaited colorways.
The adidas AE 2 Lucid Blue first hit our radar with a color code last year, and we got some in-hand previews at the beginning of the month. In the official photos, though, we can finally see the detail of the monochrome blue colorway, with three shades of blue covering the upper, one on the toe and support panels, another shade on the reflective toebox, and a third shade on the mesh added to the rest of the upper.

Anthony Edwards’ personal logo is featured on the tongue in a fourth shade of blue, this time adding more of a teal color to the mix. The adidas AE 2 hasn’t received the same adoration as Edwards’ first shoe, but the constant run of colorways is adding new energy to the silhouette by the week.
The adidas AE 2 Lucid Blue will be released April 1, 2026 through adidas and select retailers in-store and online. Available in adult and grade school sizing, the retail prices are set at $130 and $100, respectively. For all the latest adidas Anthony Edwards sneaker news, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
