The adidas Adizero Adios Pro Evo 3 is Reselling for Thousands of Dollars on StockX

If you paid attention to the news over the weekend, you may have seen something that seemed impossible: a sub-2-hour marathon. Technically, Eliud Kipchoge broke this barrier in 2019, but it was not officially recognized in the record books due to multiple factors. At the 2026 London Marathon, though, two men broke the barrier under World Athletics regulations: Sebastian Sawe and Yomif Kejelcha. Both wore a new $500 super shoe from adidas, the Adizero Adios Pro Evo 3, which sold out this morning and is now going for thousands of dollars on resale platforms.
As of this writing, the last sale on StockX for the record-breaking sneaker was $3,223. Factor in StockX fees, and it’s closer to $3,500 once all is said and done. That was for a men’s size 7, with most pairs hovering around the $1,000 to $1,100 mark, though there was a size 10.5 that sold for $2,528. So far, with the limited data set, the shoe is reselling for an average of $1,140.
Just like the previous iterations of the adidas Adizero Adios Pro Evo, the shoe retailed for $500 and was sold in ultra-limited quantities during the spring marathon season. Additional releases and more colorways of each shoe released later in the fall season, but still, each pair sold out quickly. The other renditions, the Pro Evo 1 and Pro Evo 2, can be found for under retail in select sizes and in certain colorways.
Don’t fret if you’re trying to add the adidas Adizero Adios Pro Evo 3 to your race-day regimen and aren’t willing to spend the thousands of dollars they demand right now. The Three Stripes is expected to release more pairs of the silhouette in the fall, and it’s possible another colorway or two will hit the calendar.
