Action Bronson is the prototype for a new era of signature sneaker stars. Sure, there are still plenty of hoopers and even a baseball player or two with their own shoe lines, but beyond the stadium, artists and entertainers carry more weight in the fashion industry than ever before, with Bronson and New Balance leading the way with an ongoing collaboration that recently evolved into his own shoe, the Baklava 2811.
Baklava is Back on Track
The Action Bronson x New Balance Baklava 2811 is dropping in two new colorways this week: Blackjacques and The Whisperer. Poking fun at the shoe heist that let some of The Whisperer pairs out early, the new drop will come along with a second short film, this time starring actress Vanessa Ferlito from movies like Death Proof and shows like NCIS: New Orleans. In the preview for the short film, Ferlito tells Bronson, “the bulk of our product has been stolen,” sending the Queens rapper out in a vintage BMW to find the heisted cargo.
Beyond the beige, blue, and pastel colorway on the once-heisted pair, the second colorway is a throwback to early previews of the silhouette, when Bronson debuted the shoe courtside at a Lakers game posing with heist movie hero Martin Lawrence (go rewatch Blue Streak, you won’t regret it). The Blackjacques colorway mixes black suede with dark grey mesh and TPU overlays and Knicks-themed orange and blue accents on the “N” logo and detail striping.

The new Action Bronson New Balance Baklava 2811 Blackjacques and The Whisperer colorways will be released September 25, 2026, through Bronson’s Specializing in Life webstore.
