No one in the NBA is in constant motion like Steph Curry. The four-time NBA champion spends every offensive possession darting around off-ball screens looking for a glimmer of space to get a shot off. That kind of cutting, stopping, and bursting with speed can be hard on shoes, and with Steph’s long ankle history, you know he needs support. Enter the Under Armour Curry Series 7, a brand new shoe inspired by premium running models and Curry’s perpetual motion.
Marketed as Under Armour’s first “super shoe” for the basketball court, the design mash-up came about after Curry saw a premium running shoe sample and asked to transfer the technology to basketball. The super label has typically been reserved for running shoes that use a combination of stacked foam cushioning and rigid plates, and the Series 7 looks to bring the concept to the hardwood with a 3D-molded shank at the forefoot for stability and a UA Flow outsole for cushioning, grip, and durability.
