De’Aaron Fox returned to the San Antonio Spurs after missing the first couple weeks of the NBA season recovering from a lingering injury, but that isn’t the only complication hitting the league’s fastest guard this fall. The first signature player under Steph Curry’s Under Armour sub-brand, Curry Brand, Fox’s signature sneaker status in now in limbo after Curry’s surprise departure from Under Armour. For now though, Fox’s second signature shoe is still hitting shelves in new colorways, including this taco-themed sequel.
The Under Armour Curry Fox 2 Benzito is a shoutout to Fox’s favorite taco truck, Benzito’s Tacos, a Sacramento staple. The taco truck colorway starts with a white reinforced mesh upper, bringing a clean vibe to the shoe that will definitely get salsa stains if you’re not careful. The taco truck theme is added with the colors of Benzito’s logo blending in a gradient mix across the top of the midsole, starting with teal at the toe, shifting to green in the mid-foot, and golden yellow by the time you hit the heel. The teal logo color continues onto the forefoot strap, with more aquamarine added onto the Fox outline on the black strap.
Benzitos is a fixture of the Sacramento Kings home game experience, often posting up outside of the Golden1 Arena on game night and frequently photoshopping players into its marketing material on social media. Fox isn’t playing in Sacramento anymore, and even considering the incredible San Antonio Mexican food scene, Benzito’s still holds a special place in Fox’s heart and stomach. The Spurs and Kings will match up in Sacramento in March, so Fox will get to reunite with his favorite carne asada tacos.
The Under Armour Curry Fox 2 Benzito will be released November 28, 2025 through Under Armour and select retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
