Hailing from Italy, One Block Down has cemented itself as one of the country’s top destinations for securing sneakers and has collaborated with several partners in the footwear world over the years. In 2024, we saw OBD launch a three-pack of Air Max Plus with Nike, inspired by the power of inversion to flip original colorways. The Italian boutique is now teaming up with the artisanal craftsman from Hollywood Trading Company (HTC) and Timberland to add studded details to the iconic 6 In Boot.
The idea behind this triple collaboration started when One Block Down began exploring the history of studded details on leather. OBD discovered that glass and solid brass studs began to appear on leather in the ‘30s to enhance durability. Later, studs became a way of personalization, often used to inscribe one's name or place of origin. Through this, One Block Down and HTC decided to adorn Timberland’s original and legendary 6 In Boot in the classic wheat colorway with studs that recall the retailer’s origins.
