Of all the options on the market for gorpcore footwear, Salomon is one of the most technically advanced, as the French-based label has an extensive archive of models that fit the bill. Reaching back to the brand’s Y2K era, Salomon is bringing back the once-women's-exclusive XT-Whisper model.
Originally launched in 2000 as a women's version of the XT-Hawk model, the silhouette returns in OG fashion with this nature-inspired Treetop colorway. Unlike many of Salomon's silhouettes, the model opts for a less aggressive design language, including wavy paneling and softer angles. Brown-shaded leather hits the toebox, vamp, eyestays, and heel overlay, contrasting the green mesh base and light green wavy midfoot overlay.
