New city, new drip. The Bayou Barbie went from Skytown to the A-Town over the WNBA offseason and that means new colorways for her popular Reebok signature shoe. After being traded from the Chicago Sky, she joined an Atlanta Dream team with a high-powered core of Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray at the head of the snake. Reese’s dominance on the glass adds an additional angle to the contending hopefuls. With her swapping to a squad with red details, of course a new team-friendly colorway of the Angel Reese 1 has to accompany the change.
The Reebok Angel Reese 1 Rival Red is another bold colorway for the double-double machine. The sneaker features a red mesh base for breathability. Layered on top of the mesh are TPU support structures shaped like angel wings that spread onto the side panels. The monochrome look is as stark as it can be, with only a few accents across the model to break up the look. Those white accents can be found on the Angel Reese logo on the tongue and the Reebok logos placed on the lateral forefoot, heel, and toe. A glossy sheen on the heel counter adds a bit of textural diffusion, allowing it to be distinctive while remaining in line with the monochromatic look.
The Reebok Angel Reese 1 releases on June 12, 2026 via Reebok and select stores online and in-store. Available in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $135. For all the latest news in the world of sneakers and streetwear, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
