In his rookie season, Scoot Henderson joined an elite class of individuals who launched a signature sneaker as they stepped foot onto an NBA court for the first time. As we approached the start of his sophomore year, Puma and Scoot debuted his next model — the Scoot Zeros II — during NBA media day. Now, official images of the sneaker’s first collab, a project with NBA 2K, have appeared.
Scoot and Puma already have a history of working with the storied basketball video game franchise, previously working on the Scoot Zeros I and the Puma Suede in colorways for NBA 2K24. Unlike the last project, the Scoot Zeros II comes in a mismatched color palette, featuring shades of green, black, and blue on the left pair and black, blue, and pink on the left. On the base of the sneaker sits a multi-color tie-dye-like pattern that is unique to every pair.
Overlays along the upper help reinforce the canvas mesh base, with leather panels on the lateral side alongside hits of suede on the eyestays. For these suede details, Puma splits the color palette amongst both shoes, featuring green and blue on the left sneaker and blue and pink on the right. As for branding, we can see the Puma formstrip integrated into the midfoot overlay and iridescent NBA 2K logos on the tongue, the game’s logo on the heel tab, and nods to Scoot along the vamp and insole.
Down below, Puma packs the sneaker with some budget-friendly yet performance-oriented technology. Inside the sole unit, a full-length Nitro Foam cushioning setup, a TPU Proplate, and PWRtape combine to provide a comfortable ride on the court.
The NBA 2K x Puma Scoot Zeros II will release on December 20, 2024, through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s and GS sizing, the retail price is $110 and $90, respectively.
