Although not achieving the same success as earlier models, LaMelo Ball’s sneaker line with Puma still pushes forward with new renditions of the Hornets’ superstar’s basketball shoes. Currently, LaMelo is on his fourth sneaker, the MB.04, which was recently revealed in the Phoneix colorway and collaboration with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Now, the model reaffirms that Melo is “Heem” with a vibrant, multi-color offering.
Evoking images of a late-night party with its vibrant pops of fluorescent pink, purples, and greens, the MB.04 Heem features a new graphic print on the mesh base layer. Here, we see swirls of pink, purple, and aqua-blue that look almost like a lava lamp. Above this sits black and green alien tentacle-inspired TPU overlays that reinforce the upper and create branding details for LaMelo. Back on the heel, we see a new Not From Here logo with LaMelo himself depicted dunking below the design.
Moving toward the tongue, we see black-on-black shades for the lace set and base of the tongue, while pops of pink and green are found on the graphics embedded into the tongue, including the DIP and phoenix designs. Below sits a black and pink Nitro Foam-cushioned foam midsole with a pink, black, and green rubber outsole finishing the design.
The Puma MB.04 Heem will release on December 13, 2024, through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s and GS sizing, the retail price is $125 and $105, respectively.
