Nike Golf division has been on a tear over the past few years. Even with the absence of their longtime face, Tiger Woods, leaving in 2024 to start his brand, Sun Day Red, the resurgence in the sport has kept The Swoosh on top of its game. As we near the second month of 2025, one of the first PGA Tour events of the year, the Waste Management Phoenix Open (WMPO), is set to take place. With that, Nike and Waste Management have joined forces to follow up on their successful collaboration from the year prior.
Waste Management has put its unique twist on the Nike Roshe Golf 2 for this year's collaboration. This release marks the debut of the Roshe Golf 2, which looks identical to previous Roshe Golf shoes but has some slight differences. Dubbed Prickly Pear, the Waste Management x Nike Roshe Golf 2 comes in a cactus-themed key lime, light green spark, barely volt, active fuchsia, and black colorway.
Inspired by the cacti found around the course located in the Sonoran Desert off the fairways and greens, the shoe plays fun on the fact that if you hit the ball out of bounds, you might encounter cacti or even scorpions as you enter the hazard and succumb to the penalty. An embroidered green cactus Swoosh adorns the sides to remind you of the elements that sound you, should you veer off course. Inside, the sockliner is lined in leather for plush comfort, while custom-printed insoles further the warning of what lurks out of bounds.
