Paul George has had a difficult start to the new year. After the Philadelphia 76ers finally got into a rhythm, with Joel Embiid back to his dominant, healthy ways and Tyrese Maxey putting up All-Star numbers every night, George threw a stick in the gears, pulling a 25-game suspension after reportedly testing positive for a banned medication used to treat mental health struggles. George may be on the sidelines for a couple of months, but Nike is still pulling up from deep for Podcast P, bringing back his original PG 1 in a colorway inspired by his love for fishing.
The Nike PG 1 Ferocity, aka The Bait, is an OG PG 1 colorway harkening back to George’s days with the Indiana Pacers. Covered in deep blue reinforced mesh with and synthetic paneling across the upper, the accent color on the branding and the support beneath the forefoot strap are done in Pacers yellow with purple hits on the top eyelet and heel tab. The Swoosh is white to match the midsole, which also features paint speckling on the front half.

In addition to repping George’s jersey colors at the time of the colorway’s 2013 drop, The Bait pair represents the star forward’s love for fishing, with the blue representing water and the bright yellow and purple looking like baited lures bobbing for a bite.
The Nike PG 1 Ferocity will be released Holiday 2026 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online, with early indications suggesting this one might be an Asia-exclusive drop. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is still TBD. For all the latest Nike Paul George news, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
