One of Nike's biggest surprises this year was the crossover appeal of the Pegasus Premium. The high-priced performance running model was marketed as one of the brand’s pinnacle running sneakers, and even in a market that has begun to favor budget-friendly sneakers, sneakerheads have gravitated toward it. And even though many colorways have sold out, there are plenty more options on the horizon. Included in this is one of the wildest looks yet.
The circular knit upper of the Peg Premium is done here in a multi-color pixelated look, almost as if directly ripped from a malfunctioning video game. The top half of the upper, separated by a reflective fused TPU film, contains small hits of the multi-color look but is primarily covered by a white pixel pattern, while the bottom half swaps out the white hits for black hues. Swoosh branding on the midfoot cuts across the black and multi-color portions with a white finish, while above sits white ripstop nylon along the eyestay and a two-tone black and volt lace set.
Pegasus Premium branding on the tongue takes on a vibrant red finish, matching the Air Zoom text on the volt green insole and the coordinates on the medial eyelet (which lead to the first-ever Blue Ribbon Sports retail storefront in Santa Monica, California). Underfoot sits the stacked midsole setup, containing a full-length ZoomX foam in a gradient red to black, a red full-length Zoom Air unit, and a wedge of black ReactX foam in the heel.
The Nike Pegasus Premium Pixel will release Fall 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $220.
