It’s hard to escape the coquette aesthetic and balletcore trends in women’s fashion right now. Not only have these been pervasive in the apparel game, but also in the footwear world. Asics, adidas, and Puma have honed in on this through inline and collaborative designs over the last year, but it looks like Nike is finally stepping into the trend. Fashion designer Susan Fang is teaming up with The Swoosh for a new pair of Women’s V2K Run sneakers decked out in icy blue, beaded brooches, pearl overlays, and decadent lace.

Susan’s V2K Run features an upper with ice blue leather details surrounded by mesh panels hiding a faint, out-of-focus graphic print underneath with subtle hints of blue, green, and yellow. The real star of the shoe is the side panels, though. On the lateral side, a Swoosh in faux-pearls is paired with three broach-style clear beaded flowers with blue beads in the middle protruding from the shoe, one towards the toe, one on the ankle collar, and another at the rear heel. To complete the fairy princess look, the shoe features two sets of shoelaces, one standard and one made of wide, thin, light blue lace.
Fang, who operates the self-titled fashion house, has cited inspirations from the intersection of natural beauty and mathematics, and you can see the connections clearly in the V2K Run through the focus on geometrically designed flowers. She’s been working with Nike on this collaborative project for some time now, first previewing the shoes at her wedding in June, when she wore a similarly styled pair of custom Dunks during the ceremony. Unfortunately, there is no word on whether the Dunks are releasing to the public or if they were a custom wedding one-off.
Susan Fang’s Nike V2K Run just hit shelves in Brazil through select retailers, but a wider release is slated for September 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in women's sizing, the retail price is set at $180. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
