It’s 12 AM somewhere. Nike’s Ja Morant signature line is expanding even further following the massive success of the well-received Nike Ja 3. Just as the Nike Ja 4 is set to leave its mark on the world of sneakers, the one formerly known as 12 has a takedown model on the way for the price-conscious shoppers, the Nike Twelve Time. The first colorway of the new model draws from the darkness with the Nike Twelve Time Nightmare.
Nike Twelve Time Nightmare Details
The silhouette features a one-piece mesh upper in a shade of dark purple that wraps from the toebox to the side panels. The textured waves on the side panel echo the claw marks once found on his signature shoes as an ode to his former team, the Memphis Grizzlies. Matching the jagged slash-like marks is an equally sharp black midsole with serrated edges like menacingly sharp teeth. The heel of the sneaker takes a cue from the Ja 3, covering the midsole and heel counter in smaller JA logos.
The heel features the angular logo as a key feature of the silhouette, though the midsole to a lesser degree than the Ja 3, and only surfacing as a series of textured graphics on the heel counter. A larger version of the logo dominates the heel counter, while the smaller ones add a chainmail-esque look to the model. Morant’s logo makes another appearance on the tongue as well, in stark white that contrasts with the rest of the dark colorway.
A glossy black Swoosh appears on the lateral side panel. Ja works his name into the silhouette with a Swoosh on the right sneaker that starts near the lateral toe and curves up the throat of the sneaker. The left sneaker forgoes the Swoosh shape for a pronounced lace guide at the toe that forms an A-shape when looking at the sneaker from above.
NikeTwelve Time Nightmare Release Info
The Nike Twelve Time Nightmare will be released September 4, 2026 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in full-family sizing, the retail price is set at just $90 for adult colorways, $85 for grade school sizes, and $75 for pre-school pairs.
