Nike Metcon 1 OG Black White Volt
Buy at Nike
In 2015, Nike launched the Metcon series, initially crafted to enter the CrossFit space as the sport was experiencing a significant boom. Since this original design, the series has expanded to feature ten silhouettes, and the model has oriented itself as a cross-trainer that can be used in all gym sessions or casual wear. 2024 saw the return of the original silhouette in the Banned colorway, with another Metcon 1 release slated before the year’s end — Black White Volt.
Identical to the colorway released during the silhouette’s initial run in 2014, the pair features the same construction and technology as the OG. Black mesh is reinforced with fused TPU across the toe area, while perforated leather in white lands along the collar and heel. Flywire is integrated below the upper surface and helps add stability and structure to the mesh base.
Further black hits come along the neoprene tongue, the two-tone volt and black lace set, the heel counter, and the sockliner. The nylon eyestays and the Nike logos on the tongue's top provide more volt pops. Below, the sneaker features a white rubber sole unit extending up on the sidewall near the forefoot and dual-density foam for cushioned yet stable workouts.
The Nike Metcon 1 OG Black White Volt will release on December 5, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $150.
