Nike designer Sergio Lozano put the Air Max 95 together as a running shoe, but thanks to British terrace culture, the lifestyle favorite has gained ties to the soccer pitch. Of course, you won’t find a pair of suede 95s in even the most amateur adult leagues, but if you look to the stands at any Premier League match, you’re certain to see 95s underfoot. This year, Nike brought the fan favorite out of the bleachers and onto the pitch, giving the Mercurial Vapor 16 Elite cleats an AM95 makeover.

The latest colorway of the Nike Mercurial Vapor 16 Elite Air Max 95 is white with blue and orange iridescent pearl accents throughout. Adding the t-toe and wavy side panels that define the AM 95, the Mercurial Vapor upper is made of a nearly see-through white knit with a clean white tongue and laces. The Air Zoom tongue logo is designed like a classic Air Max tongue, and the sole is fully pearlized, shining no matter what direction it hits your eye. To make sure the boot is up to snuff on the toughest conditions, the Mercurial Vapor 16 Elite is equipped with a three-quarter-length Air Zoom unit, a speed cage for stability, and a Gripknit toebox.
Fitting right in with the rest of Nike’s 30th anniversary celebration of the Air Max 95, this is the third colorway of the Nike Mercurial Vapor 16 Elite AM 95, with a Vini Jr.-promoted pair in black and solar red hitting shelves in May, and the classic Neon colorway dropping mid-summer.
The Nike Mercurial Vapor 16 Elite AM 95 White will be released on September 8, 2025, through Pro:Direct Soccer and sometime in Fall 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. In men’s sizing, the retail price is $320. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
