As a lifelong Nike athlete, LeBron James is expected to continue to receive new sneaker models akin to how Michael Jordan still launches performance basketball footwear. Outside of Bron’s mainline sneaker series, which just recently launched its 22nd iteration, we have seen a variety of different budget models hit shelves, including the NXXT Gen. After an Air Zoom Generation-inspired update to the NXXT Gen debuted earlier this year, Nike has plans to launch a new model in this NXXT line with the NXXT Genisus.
Just a few weeks back, we saw the first image of this new silhouette in the Bright Crimson Sundial colorway. Still, images of another rendition have appeared—Viotech Light Lemon Twist. The same general shape from the original NXXT Gen remains, with the mesh base receiving a new knit pattern that integrates a 90s-esque pattern. The base is purple, while the embroidered pattern above takes on a light lemon twist finish.
Along the midfoot sits an iridescent jelly Swoosh that works back to the heel, changing the usual construction that features two logos embroidered into the upper. More hits of light lemon twist appear on the lace set and the LeBron James signature on the tongue. Underfoot sits a multi-color gradient on the rubber and foam midsole that transitions from light blue to a lemon shade near the heel, paired with a marbled purple outsole.
The Nike LeBron NXXT Genisus Viotech Light Lemon Twist releases on February 1, 2025, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, retail is $160.
