Ja Morant’s second signature sneaker has been on the market for over three months at this point, and just like his first model, the sneaker has been a hit amongst ball players. Entering the new year, previews of pairs for 2025 have been making the rounds online, including the Exposure, Twelve Time, and Valentine’s Day-ready Heart Eyes variants. In what will mark the model’s second-ever collaboration, the first with Swarovski, Ja Morant is set to pay homage to everyone’s favorite sugary drink, Kool-Aid.
Featuring a mismatched appearance, the silhouette takes on a gradient color pattern along both the left and right sneakers. Starting with the left pair, we see shades reminiscent of Kool-Aid’s blue raspberry flavor, beginning at the toe and working back to transitioning into a dark black near the collar and heel. For the right sneaker, the classic cherry red starts at the toe and turns into orange once you hit the heel.

While these colors obviously evoke the image of these flavors, the tongue hosts a direct nod to the drink, with the Kool-Aid Man “breaking through” a wall in his classic red appearance. On the reverse of the tongue sits his catchphrase, “Ohhh Yeah!” Other details in reference to the drink are found on the lateral midfoot, with “cracks in the wall” reminding us of the Kool-Aid Man’s preferred entrance.
Splatter paint details grace both the lateral and medial profiles, the latter taking on a knit appearance and featuring black Swoosh details. You can also find condensation drops on the quilted heel counter, which also plays host to Ja Morant’s “12 AM” text in the font used by Kool-Aid. Finishing the design is the white foam midsole with splatter details paired with a glow-in-the-dark outsole.
The Kool-Aid x Nike Ja 2 will release May 15, 2025, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
