As rumors continue to swirl around Deion Sanders’ future as the coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, with a potential move to the Dallas Cowboys in the works, Nike is beginning to reach back into the vault and bring back some classics from Sanders’ time as a signature athlete. After starting with DT Max ‘96 retros a year after Deion and Nike signed a new contract, 2025 will mark the return of Sanders’ original sneaker, the Nike Diamond Turf. Alongside the trainer version of the 49ers colorway, Nike Football is bringing the sneaker back in cleated form.
For the upper, Nike retains the look of the Diamond Turf silhouette with the same paneling and colorblocking as the trainer version that will hit shelves in February. However, the tooling is upgraded to feature the same construction and tech as models like the Vapor Edge 360. Black and white shades contrast across the upper, swapping between the shades on the leather panels of the mudguard, midfoot, base layer, and the iconic lockdown strap.
