Nike is gearing up for the World Cup, bringing that international drip off the pitch. As a part of its X2 collection, The Swoosh is pairing up with seven international football federations and seven designers to create a new apparel and footwear collection celebrating their respective nations.
As a part of the collection, Nike is spotlighting the Nike Cryoshot project wherein they revive popular performance boots as sportstyle sneakers by encasing the spikes in a crystal clear midsole. Representing the UK is the iconic skateshop and streetwear brand Palace. The brand is going back to Nike’s origin, taking on a remix of Nike’s earlier football boots, the Nike Cryoshot Air Speed M.
Palace x Nike Cryoshot Air Speed Details
The Nike Air Speed is one of Nike’s earlier boots, dating back to the 1980s. While the Mercurial line became the herald for lightweight boots made of synthetic materials, the Nike Air Speed M was one of the trailblazers for the Swoosh on the pitch. Palace’s Cryoshot take on the Air Speed M comes built with a black tumbled leather upper harkening back to the days of boots being constructed of kangaroo leather.
The textured pattern on the toe and sides paved the way for some of Nike’s most iconic boots, like the Tiempo and Mercurial lines. Palace brings the classic model into the future with the addition of a Palace-branded translucent grey TPU support structure on the side panels. Elevating the look are red accents on the tongue shroud, TPU structure, ankle collar, and Nike branding on the heel. A hint of metallic silver pops up on the heel, and white Swooshes on the side panels and tongue shroud break up the moody bred colorway.

Palace’s Nike Cryoshot Air Speed M joins the rest of the collection on June 12, 2026 via Palace and England’s National Team, June 13 via Dover Street Market, and June 16 via Nike and select retailers online and in-store.
