Gary Payton is an NBA legend. The Hall of Famer known for his defensive greatness transferred his nickname onto his Nike signature shoe during his playing days with the Seattle Supersonics, and now, as Nike looks towards the past to kickstart its future, The Glove is back in action, and it's staying in the catalog for at least the next year.
The Nike Air Zoom Flight The Glove White Mean Green is a black and white mix that hides hits of green beneath the full-foot sheath for a subtle tribute to the Seattle squad. Featuring a base of white leather, the colorway adds black to the Swoosh swooping across the lateral toe and the bumper on the medial toe. More black on the zipper, Velcro closure, and ankle collar cement the two-tone look.
As for the Mean Green, the pair hides poison green accents on the heel tab, lace panel lining, and the stabilization accents on the inside side panels. More green is woven into the outsole for a bit of extra color. In addition to the Mean Green colorway, The Glove is about to release in black, with a bright blue retro pair following soon during the holidays.
According to info from Sneaker Market RO, the Nike Air Zoom Flight The Glove Mean Green will be released Summer 2027 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $170. For more updates on the latest releases from Nike, download the Sole Retriever App.
