The Nike and LEGO partnership is starting to come together brick by brick. The partnership was announced in late 2024 before the watershed moment of the Nike Dunk High LEGO set that was released in July 2025. Since that groundbreaking moment, the duo have collaborated on sneakers and LEGO sets, including LEGO-branded Streetgato and Mercurial boots just in time for the World Cup, a pair of purple-drawn-on Nike Dunk Lows, and a wealth of Nike Air Max 95s to celebrate Air Max Month. Now, Nike and LEGO are giving the little runners a speed boost with the Nike Air Max Phoenix University Gold.
As any Master Builder knows, a good build starts with a sturdy foundation, and the LEGO x Nike Air Max Phoenix starts off with a mesh yellow-gold build for breathability and flexibility. That breezy upper is covered in an array of rubber yellow dots with varying rubber black brick shapes scattered across, like the work of a builder still coming into shape.

Breaking through the build is a hyper pink Swoosh on the lateral side, a mini Swoosh on the lateral toe, and AIRMAX branding on the medial side in the same raised rubber texture. LEGO’s signature shade of yellow lines the eyestay, midsole, TPU heel counter, and LEGO-branded tongue. A see-through AIR unit on the heel completes the build. Additionally, the rest of the collaborative efforts, the LEGO x Nike packaging gives sneakerheads a reason to keep the box since it doubles as brick storage.
The Nike Air Max Phoenix University Gold releases Fall 2026 via Nike and select retailers online and in-stores. Available in grade school sizes, the retail price is set at $157. For all the latest updates and release dates in the world of footwear, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
