When thinking of the stereotypical dad shoe, one almost immediately conjures up an image of the Nike Air Monarch IV. While it’s undergone avant-garde makeovers thanks to high-fashion designers like Martine Rose, the Air Monarch is doing its best Timberland impression with the all-new Wheat colorway.
Unlike the recently-revealed Air Jordan 1 Brooklyn Low Wheat, which is an even more overt nod to the Timberland 6-Inch Boot, this Monarch comes coated entirely in a wheat-shaded suede on virtually all of its panels. The only portion not done in suede is the tongue, which is split between two different mesh materials, and the sockliner. Traditional Air Monarch motifs remain untouched, like the branding details along the top of the tongue, on the insole, and of course, the midfoot Swoosh. Down below sits a tonal wheat Air Monarch midsole and a gum rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Monarch IV Wheat will release Fall 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price has not yet been confirmed.
