Earlier this year, Nike took to the SNKRS App to showcase upcoming products and debuted the Gore-Tex-laden version of the Nike Air Max Sunder in a Black and Red colorway. Since these two pairs dropped, we haven’t seen much out of this variant of the archival Nike Air Max sneaker, but now official images of a brand new Bold Berry colorway have found their way online.
Across the upper, the titular hue lands along the ripstop nylon, Gore-Tex-laden base layer, giving the sneaker a weather-resistant finish. Black hits along the mudguard contrast this vibrant shade, taking on a nubuck construction with TPU plugs in a bold berry shade lining the center. More black details find a home on the mini Swoosh near the collar, the Gore-Tex labeling near the heel, the internal bootie, and the zipper ring that conceals the lacing set up below.
Once unzipped, you’ll find a nod to the silhouette’s heyday with the numbers 6, 4, 5, and 3, meant to represent how you spell out Nike on an old-school cellphone keypad. Finishing the upper are the black nylon pull tabs back on the heel and the black nubuck on the heel counter. Below is a blacked-out midsole with bold berry details shining through the visible Air units in the forefoot and heel paired with a bold berry and black rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max Sunder GTX Bold Berry W will release January 8, 2025, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in women’s sizing, the retail price is $210.
