With Y2K-era designs dominating fashion trends, Nike has looked to this point not only for revivals but for all-new models that pull from the forward-thinking design language of the period. Enter the Air Max Muse, Nike’s latest Y2K-inspired design that caters to the ladies. Following up on the debut Metallic Silver colorway that saw an early release on December 11 (don’t worry, a wider drop is set for January 10), a new Oil Green colorway has appeared via official imagery.
Featuring a chunky Y2K-esque design that Nike crafted using computation design, applying filters of size, shape, texture, and Air cushioning, the model comes with soft, exaggerated proportions that draw eyes to the heel’s Air unit. For this second colorway, The Swoosh applies oil green shades to the overlays near the toe, eyestays, and heel, while black takes over the mesh toe, midfoot, and suede cutouts near the toe. A pop of red contrasts the two-tone look via the midfoot panel’s Swoosh logo and the Swoosh along the silver metallic Air Max logo near the tongue.
