Charles Barkley's signature sneaker line with Nike was, and still is, one of the most memorable performance basketball models from the ‘90s. While it may not get as much love from the mainstream sneakerheads as trends have shifted away from this particular market segment, it's always a hit whenever the sneaker returns in its original colors. Nike may have given us a retro treatment three years back of the OG Black White Pure Purple rendition but is following this up with another retro in Summer 2025.
Like the 2020 release and the subsequent 2023 restock, the pair will come with the same SKU, meaning the build will remain identical across the three different drops. The original Phoneix Suns-inspired color scheme still features black nubuck throughout most of the upper, with a white leather base contrasting the darker hues. Pops of purple come on the tongue, partially shrouded by the black lacing setup.
Nike and Air Max branding is white, located on the lateral midfoot and tongue. Another hit of Nike branding finds a home on the heel tab. Down below, the Air Max 2 CB 94 midsole takes on a black and white finish with purple hues on the exposed Air unit in the heel, while the outsole comes in a black, white, and purple combo.
The Nike Air Max 2 CB 94 Black White Pure Purple will release in Summer 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $170.
