Nike Basketball's output in the '90s and early 2000s is unmatched, and the label's silhouettes from this era are still viewed as ahead of their time. Fans of the Foamposite family were happy to see that Nike revived the Flightposite, initially released in 1999 at the end of 2024, and is continuing to drop the silhouette in new and old colors in 2025. While we’re still awaiting the Jason Kidd PE later this year, the upcoming Sail colorway should hold us over till then.
This Flightposite uses a simple two-tone color palette, with the Foamposite material coated in a single sail shade. Black hits accent the neoprene portions around the forefoot, collar, and internal bootie. The embroidered Swoosh near the toe is black-on-black, while sail details are found on the lining of the Swoosh, the Velcro patch above the zipper, and the pull tab's Flightposite text.

More sail comes on the mini Swoosh stamped on the heel of the neoprene collar and the nylon pull tab, the latter featuring a dotted pattern. Finishing the design is the metallic silver shank on the midfoot that extends onto the black rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Flightposite One Sail will release on June 12, 2025, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $250, a $10 increase thanks to Nike’s recent price hikes.
