Though Deion Sanders only played in San Francisco for the 1994 season, his run with the 49ers is one of the greatest single-season runs in gridiron history. Prime Time brought home his only Defensive Player of the Year award that season and notched his first Super Bowl ring that year as well. While Deion might say “must be the money,” Spike Lee would say “must be the shoes” as the Diamond Turf 2 he wore that season continues to echo through the halls of time as one of the most highly-regarded signatures of all time.
Prime Time’s retro run is well underway, and the latest colorway to make a return is another nod to that legendary run. The iconic silhouette comes crafted with a white leather construction on the toebox and side panels. Black suede accents the heel and lace panels while hints of red pop up on the sockliner, heel tab, as well as the Air branding and Swoosh found on the lateral and medial midsole, respectively.
Additional white accents appear on the Swoosh found on the midfoot strap and Deion’s insignia, which melds a goalpost with a baseball diamond representing Deion’s status as a two-sport athlete. Peeking through the side panel walls is a metallic gold mesh that offers breathability while tying in another of the Niners’ signature colors.
The Nike Air Diamond Turf 2 will be released Fall 2026 via Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $170. For the latest news and release info in the world of streetwear and sneakers, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
