The Nike Air Bakin is in the oven. The retro basketball shoe with side panels like the coils on a stove is coming back for 2026, and with the OG black, red, and yellow pair ready to pop out for the fall, The Swoosh is already whipping up recipes for follow-up pairs to drop next year. For the latest preview, Nike is starting with the same black base as the OG, but then adds more than a splash of color.
The Nike Air Bakin Multi-Color was seen this week in a preview of upcoming Nike pairs from New York City boutique two:minds, alongside pairs of Air Force 1 Low ‘01s, Flyknits, Air Max 95s, and more. It's the Air Bakin pair that stands out most, though, bringing a whole new vibe to the 1997 silhouette.
So far, we’ve only seen the pair in one quick image, and in the background of the photo at that, but even still, we can clearly see the black base and 1990s sweater-style color mix. Featuring a base of black on the toe and lower half of the side panels, the colorway blends yellow, green, blue, red, orange, and more in a blurry mix on the side panel waves.
According to Sneaker News, the Nike Air Bakin OG will be released Spring 2027 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $170. For all the latest on Nike retro news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
