Last year marked the return of the Nike Air 180, a silhouette originally released in 1991 and designed by two legendary designers, Tinker Hatfield and Bruce Kilgore. Since the OG Ultramarine hit shelves in May 2024, the silhouette has been available in iterations like the Beetlejuice and Baltic Blue Lightning. Now, while we await the release of the University Blue Hyper Pink and Tea Tree Mist Bronzine, another new colorway of the Air 180 has appeared.
Switching up the typical construction of the Air 180, this pair opts for a canvas base layer and premium suede overlays. On the canvas, we see a gradient pattern that transitions from a tonal light khaki hue to a solid psychic blue shade as you move up from the toe. The aforementioned suede overlays, landing on the mudguard and midfoot, come in light khaki.
Wood grain-esque patterns are applied to the khaki heel overlay and the black leather Swoosh. Above both is a solid hit of khaki canvas around the collar, while the sockliner nearby takes on a darker khaki tan finish. Down below, the midsole takes on a vintage cream finish with a pre-dirtied, scuffed appearance but keeps the Air 180 unit in the heel fresh and clean. The blue and khaki rubber outsole finishes the sneaker.
The Nike Air 180 Light Khaki Psychic Blue will release in April 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $150.
