Two of Nike’s brightest minds, Tinker Hatfield and Bruce Kilgore, combined their talent and design prowess to help create the Nike Air 180 in 1991, marking the first time The Swoosh produced a 180-degree visible Air unit. While the model entered the vault after its last retro run in 2018, Nike revived the Air 180 in its OG Ultramarine colorway in 2024. Since then, the sneaker has enjoyed a series of inline variants and even a collaboration under the Nike Doernbecher program when Ja’Kai Taylor was allowed to work on the sneaker. Now, music label and streetwear brand Apron Records is getting a crack at working on the sneaker.
Founded in 2014 by Steven Julien, Apron Records has launched LPs and helped foster artists' growth in the music scene, expanding its reach across the globe and different music genres. Alongside its musical output, the brand is supported through its fashion output. Julien shared images of the pair on his Instagram, which opts for a mixture of dark atomic teal, alabaster, and off-noir across the leather, fuzzy suede, and faux croc leather upper.
