Undoubtedly, the Zoom Vomero 5 has been one of the more popular models in Nike’s arsenal of mesh runners. There’s no end in sight for this trend of techy, mesh-based silhouettes, and The Swoosh is well aware of it, as next year, we have an array of different colorways on the release calendar. Adding to the Spring 2025 pairs is a new Vivid Purple Black colorway.
We see a two-tone mesh on the base, placing a vivid purple hue below a wide-spaced black netting. More dark hues cover the synthetic overlays along the mudguard, eyestays, vamp, toebox, and the TPU on the midfoot cage. 3M piping provides some reflective flair to the sneaker, placed on the panels surrounding the midfoot cage, the mudguard, and the heel overlay.

The purple and black mesh combo is present as you continue to the tongue, contrasting the stark black lace set and complementing the two-tone Vomero 5-branded tongue tag. Silver details break up the two-tone look of the upper, piping the Swoosh on the midfoot and taking over the heel’s TPU cage. The black and vivid purple foam midsole finishes the design with Cushlon and Zoom Air cushioning paired with a black and purple rubber outsole.
The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 Vivid Purple Black released today, December 20, 2024, is available now through Nike and select retailers online and in-store.
