Ever since the Zoom Vomero 5 was brought back, the sneaker game has been blessed with some truly mad color combos like the Barbie or even the Chlorophyll. But for 2025, the retro running shoe is going covert with the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 Black Reflective. And while it looks sleek and stealthy at first glance, it's actually got a secret tucked up its sleeve.
When it comes to its design and its composition, the Black Reflective doesn't really stray too far from the OG. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? Building on top of a mesh base, it's overlaid by leather panels throughout for a premium look and feel. The midfoot cage is crafted from flexible rubber for added support, and it's overlaid by the legendary Nike Swoosh that glides across the lateral and medial sidewalls.

Adam Cheung is a writer and editor who specialises in sneakers and streetwear. Over the past few years, he's curated features and guides for everyone from Burberry to Nike. Often travelling between the UK and Hong Kong, don't be too surprised if you find Adam anywhere else around the world taking street photography or feasting on the local delicacies.
Around the back, the honeycomb-esque heel counter is brought back for the ultimate lockdown fit, and everything's tied together with a pair of hiking-inspired rope laces, resulting in a rugged aesthetic that'll do you good over the wet and windy months. Down south, the chunky midsole is housed in Cushlon foam, and it's fitted with Zoom tech for extra comfort.
The twist? Kill the lights and you’ll see that every single panel is coated in a full 3M reflective finish, letting you flex even in total darkness. The Zoom Vomero 5 Black Reflective is then rounded off with Light Lemon Twist insoles, which are printed with a black-and-white portrait of Bill Bowerman – a heartfelt tribute to the Nike co-founder himself.
Set to release in Fall 2025 via Nike and select retailers both online and in-store, the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 Black Reflective will be available in unisex sizing with a retail of $170.
