Earlier in the year, Sole Retriever shared official looks at the latest entry in the Nike Vomero series: the Nike Vomero Plus. This is obviously Nike’s answer to the dominance of On and Hoka, who have captured more of the performance running market with their maximalist cushion setups. Joining the slew of colorways on launch day, August 7, 2025, is a women’s exclusive Sunset colorway.
The engineered mesh upper of this Vomero Plus features a sunset-esque gradient pattern that transitions between purple, orange, and red shades. If it looks familiar, it might be because these hues are often found on the work of Lorenz OG, a sneaker customizer who has become famous for his gradient patterns. Solid hits of red come along the lace set, while a lighter pink hue is found on the sockliner.

Swoosh logos cut in between the colorful swirl of the midfoot, taking on a dark grey and burgundy appearance. Below is where the true star of the show is, as Nike packs the midsole with full-length ZoomX foam in a 45-millimeter heel stack height. The rocker geometry and wide platform combine with the aforementioned foam to help create an ultra-cushioned sensation underfoot, while the high-abrasion rubber provides traction for high mileage.
The Nike Vomero Plus Sunset will release August 7, 2025, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $180.
