Over the 23 years LeBron James has been in the league, he’s had countless iconic moments. With that said, one of the most memorable was when he and his son Bronny took the court and officially logged minutes as teammates in the NBA. We can sit here and debate whether or not Bronny was ready or how big a role LeBron played in getting his son on the Lakers, but it’s still an impressive achievement nonetheless. To honor this historic moment, Nike has created a special colorway of LeBron’s latest signature sneaker, the Nike LeBron 23.
Officially dubbed The Chosen One and the One Who Chose, the pair features a split color design that applies metallic gold to the right and eggplant purple on the left. The Crown Containment System, which applies LeBron’s crown logo to the upper as a reinforcement for the engineered mesh, takes on these metallic finishes, while the rest of the upper is doused in black hues. An interlocking crown monogram is embroidered into the black mesh material, while James’ signature is applied to the tongue in metallic gold.
