Nike Basketball has been walking a tightrope lately. Bringing out a handful of new, innovative signature models for stars like Ja Morant, KD, LeBron, and Giannis, the hoop side of The Swoosh has also been holding strong to Beaverton’s retro-obsessed release calendar, including new silhouettes with clear vintage inspiration. The GT Future was slated to be the next big thing, but never quite made the waves we expected on the court, instead transitioning quickly to a lifestyle statement piece.
The Nike GT Future Triple Black is a black cape of a sneaker, looking like Dracula’s favorite pair as the shiny black hole of an upper spikes up at the ankle like a Halloween-ready collar. Covered in black from toe to heel, the shade shifts slightly with material shifts, moving from the armored shine of the wavy upper to a matte stabilizing strip on the black mesh tongue.

The Swoosh graphics on the tongue and heel bring a metallic glimmer to the pair, with, you guessed it, more black on the outsole. If Batman were looking for a fresh pair of shoes, we’re guessing he would rock with these, on the court or off.
The Nike GT Future Triple Black will be released Fall 2026 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $210. For all the latest Nike GT Future news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
