If you ask us, Devin Booker’s signature line has been stellar at tying in Booker’s personal interests and passions onto his Nike Book 1 and Book 2. His love of cars and Detroit are front and center across his first two models thanks to collabs with Chevy and nods to the 313, most recently seen with an Iron Fist Book 2 inspired by Joe Lewis’ statue. But we’ve also seen the local Detroit sports teams get featured on the Book silhouette, the latest being the Detroit Lions.
Nike Book 2 Detroit Lions Details
Made to match the Detroit Lions' uniforms, and also a great supplemental piece to the team’s recently released NFL Rivalries uniform, the Nike Book 2 Detroit Lions is coated in a photo blue hue across its molded leather upper. That same shade of blue runs up to the perforated leather tongue, the lace set, the quilted sockliner, and the nylon pull tabs on the tongue and heel tab.
The first instance of Lions branding is found on the lateral heel as the team’s emblem is displayed near the end of the chrome Swoosh. The Lions are also referenced on the top of the tongue on the right shoe, with the typical “Book” text replaced with “Lions.” On the insole, a map of the city of Detroit is present, and the Lions’ home turf, Ford Field, is noted by a star. Finishing the homage to the Lions is the blue midsole and semi-translucent icy blue outsole.
