All brands across the footwear industry are getting ready to drop their Year of the Snake-inspired sneakers, with Nike leading the charge via various sneaker releases. For Nike’s sportswear division, we’ve already seen multiple models, like the Dunk Low, Air Force 1 Low, and Air Max DN, come coated in the exotic material. Adding to the celebration next year is a women’s exclusive Air Max 1 Snakeskin in Light Orewood Brown.
Neutral, earthy hues take over this iteration of the Air Max 1 as we see a light tan on the leather mudguard. Above this sits our first hit of snakeskin, as the textured toebox comes in a mixture of black and tan hues. This snakeskin continues onto the Swoosh and collar, surrounded by another tan leather panel.
While the earthy hues continue on the lace set, tongue, and sockliner, a pop of orange-brown is found along the TPU eyelet at the top of the lacing setup. The contrasting hue also finds a home on the Nike Air text placed on the heel tab. Underfoot sits a tonal foam midsole with an exposed Air unit in the heel and a tonal rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max 1 Snakeskin Light Orewood Brown W will release in Spring 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in women’s sizing, the retail price is $140.
