There’s an old joke on the East Coast; as soon as someone mentions they’re from New Jersey, the next question isn’t about north, south, or which city they live in, the follow-up is all about the turnpike: “What exit?” The toll road that stretches the entire state isn’t just a throughway from Philly to NYC; it’s a way of life.
Nike is paying tribute to the turnpike with its latest regionally-focused colorway, adding toll booth imagery alongside premium brown leather and woven panels on the Air Force 1 Low New Jersey. The classy pair of Forces starts with dark brown pebbled leather on the toe, lace, and heel panels, with a different texture of brown leather woven tightly on the toebox and side panels, complete with a brown suede Swoosh for even more monochrome material mash-up.
The NJ theme is present throughout, with a New Jersey ribbon graphic lace dubrae on one shoe and an Air Force 1 version on the other shoe. The lateral heel features a custom NJ Nike logo in the shape of the New Jersey Turnpike logo, and the insoles are all green like the Turnpike signs and old toll tickets, with another NJ Nike graphic in the same Turnpike-inspired shape in white.
The Nike Air Force 1 New Jersey will be released Holiday 2025 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $125. For all the latest Nike news and drop info, tap in with us over at the Sole Retriever mobile app.
