The NBA logo is famous for its elevation of Jerry West to icon status that far surpassed his playing and front office impact, no matter how good the Hall of Famer was. In the WNBA, the league has always insisted that the mid-lay-up logo is not based on any one player in particular, but that hasn’t stopped rumors that the ponytailed hooper is Diana Taurasi, Candace Parker, Sue Bird, or another star. Instead of focusing on a legend for the logo, though, the WNBA is dedicated to bringing the color orange everywhere it goes.

The WNBA x Nike Air Force 1 Low is the latest colorway from The W’s new team-specific monochrome suede collab collection, but instead of another team logo, the new pair reps the league itself. We were introduced to the playoff-ready collab collection earlier this week with matching suede pairs for the Indiana Fever and New York Liberty.
