We’re far removed from the Air Force 1 craze of the mid-2000s, but Bruce Kilgore’s iconic basketball-turned-lifestyle sneaker has maintained its status as a staple in Nike’s lineup. During the golden era of AF1 colorways, a handful of releases have gone down in infamy, notably translucent colorways dubbed Invisible that featured clear materials revealing your foot to the world. Decades later, the design motif returned to the Uptown in a clean White University Blue colorway.
Premium white leather appears on the mudguard, eyestays, and heel overlay, while smooth leather in pure platinum hits the Swoosh and heel tab. A transparent material on the toe and midfoot reveals the sneaker's interior, with this partially clear plastic receiving a slight blue tint. This same blue hue is applied to the mini Swoosh near the toebox, the Nike Air logos on the tongue tag, and the Nike text on the heel tab.

Another added detail for this colorway is the bedazzled AF1 dubrae on the lower part of the white lacing setup. Below, the Air Force 1 midsole is rendered in white, with pure platinum shades taking over the AIR text on the lateral heel. The semi-translucent icy blue rubber outsole finishes the design.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Translucent White University Blue will release in Fall 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store.
