When Nike arrived at Paris Fashion Week in the spring with a collection of Air Force 1s and Air Max 90s with square toes like dress shoes or cowboy boots, the reaction from the sneaker community was a mix of confusion and laughter. Now, though, with holiday parties coming up and the westernwear trend still thriving, the first pair of Square Force 1s is ready for a real reception at retail.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Square Toe Triple Black is part of The Swoosh’s sqaure toe AF1 debut, joining a triple-white pair to ease in the blocky remix with some iconic monochrome colorways. Like a sneaker version of a mullet, the silhouette is squared-off business up front, and in the case of the triple-black pair, a sketchy house party in the back.

Featuring a coat of monochrome black leather just like the up-to-no-good triple-black OG AF1, the square toe version elongates the toebox and adds sharp angles at the corner for a rectangular toe and a flat front. The rest of the shoe keeps a standard Air Force 1 shape, with no way to know what’s waiting up front from a heelside view.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Square Toe Triple Black will be released November 6, 2026, through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $130. To keep up with all the latest from Nike’s Air Force 1 obsession, download the Sole Retriever App.
